AIGA T-shirt Designs

Hey People,

I'm sure most of you know that we (the UH student design group) have an oppurtunity to design the new t-shirt of the AIGA. So far, only two people have submitted t-shirt ideas and to be honest, I'm a bit surprised. I don't know if most people just aren't interested or if people don't have time to design a shirt, but it's such a good oppurtunity to make something.

The requirements for the shirt are as few as possible. The only thing the shirt must have is:
- The AIGA logo somewhere
- The words "Honolulu Chapter" somewhere, too.
That's it. Other than that, everything is up to you in regards to the actually content and design of the shirt. If your design is chosen, the Honolulu AIGA will actually print and distribute your shirt design amongst both local designers and designers on the mainland. That's a foot in the design job door if you ever asked me. A lot of people will know your work even before they'll know you. "Yeah, that was me who designed the Honolulu AIGA shirt." "Oh wow, we like it. You're hired."

So, if you want to get involved, I've thrown .eps templates of both the front and back of a shirt in the Xfer. It's in a folder labeled "~ AIGA T-shirt". If you're at home right now and are inspired to start right away, you can connect to the design lab's server by going to: Finder>Go>Connect to Server>128.171.145.221
The log-in and password is the same that you enter on the lab computers. Throw all designs back into the folder with the templates. Now start designing.

Oh yeah, the t-shirt designs seem to be open only to students this year (HCC and UH). So, we aren't going up against professionals if you're scared of that or something.

Scott Naauao.
