468 Thesis: Revised Questionnaire Questions.
Okay kiddies, someone has to start it. So here is the new post where we'll document all the revised questions. Hopefully everything will go okay because I think this can get a little confusing since everyone has their own list they were revising rather than one master list.

I think my question about style or manner -
Do you have a particular manner or style to do your work?-
is same as Nikki's question
-What is a comfortable posture for you to be in while working on your art? (in a chair, if so how are you positioned, on the floor, on the bed).

How do you handle stress levels? Or, when you're usual rituals are not working during stress, what do you do?
What is the closest you've come to plagerism? If you were to emmulate something/someone that has already been done, who would it be, and how would you rationalize it?

what do you consider to be your muse?
what motivates you?
what inspires you?
what factors stimulate your creative process?
are you critical of spontaneous results in your work or do you use these results as part of your work?
are there any rituals associated with your methods of creating works?
have you developed particular behavioral patterns that influence your work?

Sorry for the extreme lateness of my post. I thought I posted my revised questions last week.
I believe that I only had two questions to revise.
Revised Question #1:
Are there any behaviors that you would consider "bad habits" that occur during your art making process? For example: nail biting, smoking, playing with your hair, etc.
Revised Question #2:
Briefly describe your common working area and the working environment which is most conducive for you to make art. For example of working area: messy or clean; piles of empty soda cans; stacks of music cd; paint bottle everywhere, etc. For example of working environment: loud music, headphones, or no noise at all; very social or isolated from everyone else, etc.

BFA Nuances Survey
nu·ance n.
A subtle or slight degree of difference, as in meaning, feeling, or tone; a gradation.
The theme of this BFA catalogue is Nuances. The BFA Design Committee would like to display the uniqueness and individuality of each BFA student by highlighting their personal workspace and process of art-making. The following questions are divided into three categories: Artistic Nuances, Personal Nuances, and Process Nuances. Artistic Nuances is about the artwork itself, or what makes your actual artwork unique compared to others; a constant motif or personal style used throughout your artwork. Personal Nuances involves behavioral patterns or rituals that may influence your artwork. Process Nuances deals with art-making. For example, the time of day you work, or the tools and techniques you use. Please take the time to really think about these questions and answer them as honestly and detailed as possible, so we will be able to gather as much information to highlight you as an artist.
Artistic Nuances
1. Describe any reoccurring images, motifs, or themes that appear as subject matter in your art.
2. Does your ethnicity or cultural heritage influence your work?
3. What is the most frequent word(s) that you use to describe your work and why?
4. What is your favorite material or medium to work with?
5. Does color play a role in your artwork? Do you tend to gravitate to a type of color palette and why?
Personal Nuances
6. Do you have specific rituals that you perform in order to stimulate your creative process? (i.e. shower, drink coffee, eat, etc.)
7. When you hit a stressful creative block or deadline, what do you do to overcome it?
8. What behaviors do you consider “bad habits” that occur during your art-making process? (i.e. nail biting, smoking, playing with hair, etc.)
Process Nuances
9. Describe the sound environment in your workspace. If there’s music playing, what kind? Is the volume loud or soft? Is there a specific band or genre you like listening to? If there is no music, what type of ambient noise do you hear? Does the music or sound change depending on your different moods or emotional state?
10. Describe and name the types of media you refer to for inspiration. (i.e. bookmarked websites, pictures on your walls, books on your bookshelf)
11. What time of day do you feel most creative and why?
12. How do you record your ideas? What are the various forms of this documentation? (i.e. Do you draw sketches in a notebook?)
13. Describe the types of tools and techniques you use to make your artwork. Do you use tools that are unconventional?
14. Describe what motivates you.
15. Describe what inspires you.
16. Describe your workspace and the environment that is most conducive for you to make art. (i.e. Is your workspace messy or clean, social, or isolated from everyone else, etc.)
Please submit a sketch that tells us more about your personality as an artist. The content of this sketch or doodle is open to any subject matter.
